The VanDeusen party was treated to another fabulous cod & haddock fishing charter aboard Tuna Hunter.  The usual jigs with teasers worked magic as these guys fished hard all day through.

Haddock cooperated too – clams, slightly different area, continued fishing.

The annual Rubin-Pascal father-son fishing charter was another highlight for Tuna Hunter captain and crew. This blend of cod & haddock fishing, striped bass fishing charter and bluefin tuna fishing makes for a great long weekend of hard fishing, great food and good friends.

Always a good time, always good fishing and always always we eat and play well when these guys are in town.  As for this year’s fishing, cod was strong, but the bluefin eluded us.  Inshore stripers more tha namde up for it, hitting on livies.  Good action for the entire weekend.

No fear on the tuna, they are here in force, in all sizes.  Tuna Hunter will be fishing this weekend for bluefin, stripers and cod & haddock.  As the tuna action heats up, dates are filling in.  You should be then next one hooked up!

Bubba’s Boys had an awesome day aboard Tuna Hunter Fishing Charters, limiting out of cod early in the day and continuing to catch and release hefty cod to 25 pounds throughout the afternoon.

Tuna Hunter put Bubba’s Boys right on the meat, employing norwegian jigs with a mix of clams thrown in. This combination held for the entire day with only minor adjustments needed. An awesome crew, Bubba’s Boys had good arms to fish hard all day long.

Cod Fishing like this makes one want to fish every day!

These guys from Southboro spent an afternoon on Tuna Hunter loading up on codfish. This inshore spot is great for a quick getaway when time is short for going out to Stellwagen or Jeffries. Key thing was to get the family together for an afternoon on the water. The usual bait and jigs apply.

Another advantage of this inshore spot is the possibility for stripers. Unfortunately this day the striped bass were elsewhere – No worries, it was early, and we know those stripers will arrive in this spot in force any day now.

Out on the bank, giant stripers – to 30 pounds – are strolling through. Cod and haddock fishing is and will remain strong for the season.

Bluefin tuna fishing is underway, with anglers seeing and catching more bluefin each day, including giants.

The Cod Slappers of NH joined Tuna Hunter for Cod & Haddock Fishing out of Gloucester on Memorial Day weekend. The weather was not the greatest but as we’ve said before fish don’t care and hit jigs for the most part. These guys fished hard to put a nice catch together. And had a blast along the way. Jigs prevail for cod, as in the past few weeks.

Life abounds on Stellwagen and surrounding fishing grounds – this is great for cod, haddock, tuna and whales! Cod and haddock fishing will hold strong, and bluefin tuna will stay and feed. Striped bass migrating in will feast and get that much bigger, a better fight for your striped bass fishing.

Kite fishing for bluefin tuna will begin soon, as schools of bluefin move in hungry and eager for action.

Tata’s Walkers – fishing for cod & haddock when they’re not  walking for breast cancer – joined Tuna Hunter for  Gloucester Cod & Haddock Fishing on Memorial Day weekend.  The trip opened the holiday weekend with great fishing – the usual mix of jigs and clams, with jigs prevailing as the favorite.  The team went home with plenty of cod for fish dinners, and sore arms.
