Tata’s Walkers ~ Cod Fishing on Tuna Hunter!
Tata’s Walkers – fishing for cod & haddock when they’re not walking for breast cancer – joined Tuna Hunter for Gloucester Cod & Haddock Fishing on Memorial Day weekend. The trip opened the holiday weekend with great fishing – the usual mix of jigs and clams, with jigs prevailing as the favorite. The team went home with plenty of cod for fish dinners, and sore arms.
The sand eel population on Stellwagon and surrounding areas are drawing lots of life to the fishing grounds. Cod and haddock fishing will remain strong for the season.
Keeper striped bass have been landed in and around Gloucester harbor. Bluefin tuna fishing is underway, with anglers seeing and catching more bluefin each day as these guys move into our area.
